Marco Shuttle’s EP 4UKRAINE is raising funds for the charitable foundation Voices of Children that has been helping young people affected by conflict in Ukraine since 2015.
“I feel it’s everyone’s duty to raise their voice and support the Ukrainian people who are standing against this heinous invasion, defending not only their independence and their freedom but the very core values of our civilisation.” shares the artist.
February 24th marked a devastating turning point in our history with the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by the Russian president Putin, attacking major cities including the capital Kyiv. As the people of Ukraine are losing their homes, families and lives, protests around the world surge to demand an end to this imperialist war and insist the cooperation of the west-centric world we have created.
The prophecy of poet William Blake echoes more real and uncanny each day as we wake up to the burning news of shelling tanks, refugee crises, innocent deaths and the fear of the unknown:
“Sound! sound! my loud war-trumpets & alarm my thirteen Angels!
Loud howls the eternal Wolf: the eternal Lion lashes his tail!
Fiery the Angels rose, & as they rose deep thunder roll’d

In solidarity with the people of Ukraine, we must fight together to protect their independence and safety, taking a stand against oppressive regimes, censorship and violence that bleeds through our society, in the shadows of democracy. As the slow negotiations of the “powers” drag darkness into the lives of the people of Ukraine, many across Europe and beyond have mobilised themselves to give support, inform debate, and donate through different means to individuals and organizations in need.
The electronic music scene is extending a helping hand to the community in Ukraine, as the beloved clubs in Kyiv are being filled with last hopes for a peaceful future and used as bunkers. Marco Shuttle adds:
“Everyone who was lucky enough to be playing or clubbing in Ukraine knows very well what a special experience that was. Personally I can easily say that it has been my favorite place in Europe to play in the last years and I feel extremely grateful to this land and its people for the happiness they gave me…”
As music continues to unite us across borders and carries a message of solidarity, the EP 4UKRAINE is a four track collection of unreleased music by Marco Shuttle, compiled with the aim of supporting those going through the unimaginable horrors of political aggression and terror.
All proceeds generated by 4UKRAINE will be donated to the Voices of Children foundation, which supports children affected by the war since 2015 by providing psychological and psychosocial aid. The charitable foundation helps kids overcome the consequences of armed conflict, heal war-induced trauma and contributes to a healthy development. Currently, during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Voices of Children Foundation is assisting affected children and families from all over the country, providing emergency psychological support, and assisting in the evacuation process.
