MNMT enthusiastically welcomes back @joachimspieth for an hour of highly specialized sounds, showcasing deeply mind-altering tracks with technical prowess.

With an ever-growing catalog dating back to the late 1990s, Joachim Spieth remains a consistent and exceptionally respected artist, sharing roots (and creating them!) in many of techno’s contemporary sounds. Beginning with his first release under Kompakt, Joachim Spieth continued to release , with his productions supported by influential artists, such as John Peel, Sven Vath, and Juan Atkins, to name a few. Equipped with a keen taste for sound and setting sight on a personal vision, Joachim Spieth created Affin, an imprint focused on developing ‘distinctive and unmistakable musical signature.’

Having performed in 30+ countries as a DJ, Joachim Spieth’s sets are equally praised as his productions – MNMT 310 is no exception! Enclosed in the hour are unearthed sounds of hidden gems. Jumping to and from peak-time sounds, the set touches on seemingly kaleidoscopic elements. However described, one thing is sure – listeners will not be bored with this one. Enjoy!

We’re thrilled to introduce you a new project by @mnmt.no that will be the cradle of a lot new fervent connections.
“Old Sound for New Colors”.
As a worldwide source of objective vibes into the techno music scene, our intent is to explore what belongs to the music and every shape of inspiration that artists can find in it. In this new monthly episode, we’ll introduce you one Vj Artist and the visual translation of his flux of art, inspired by one of our Podcast.

Or Sarfati is a musician / visual artist based in Berlin.
His visual environments are inspired by nature and generative behaviors, created by artificial environments which generate materials out of the logic of an algorithm.

“Nature is always his greatest inspiration. He sees the most complex and interesting systems of textures and bavarois in nature. For him, the interest lays between the predictable and non-predictable outcomes of a system that contains forces and roles such as clouds, grass in the wind, flowing water.
His own creation starts by trying to imitate those environments, following by implementation of foreign forces and logic I can inject by code.

“The music of Isorinne gave me the open and emotional soundscape I found the most suitable for the visuals I wanted to create for this project. I wanted to create a generative material that will echo strongly aside to the music. First, i had the idea of flowing water, which lead to the idea of a current flow inside a fog of cloud/water.”
