We’ve already heard Developer’s contribution to Concerns Music’s compilation Pleasure Instruments. The release is set for 20 April in digital or double-LP format. We have another exclusive taste of the mega-compilation from Unkle Fon; Punishment Whip.

Punishment Whip is very different to Developer’s Leather Corset. Unkle Fon’s track is less defined around the edges. It blurs into one vortex of sound until it breaks out into its rolling bass line.

It’s another piece that makes Pleasure Instruments a very functional LP. Punishment Whip is made for big-room techno parties. It’s something you can get lost in and the environment needs to reflect that. A smaller club would cut it off.

Unkle Fon himself is a new, fairly unknown techno artist from Madrid. However, his own label Node Orbit has some overlooked releases from intriguing artists. This feature on a compilation alongside heavyweight names is a development that will put him on a continental stage.
