No stranger to dense and understated dancefloor aesthetics, Pfirter is bringing his masterful touch to Crossing – making him the first artist to release on the label besides owner/operator AVION. Fitting nicely into the deeply discerning aesthetic Crossing presents, Sut displays a depth of atmosphere that has been only touched upon and hinted at previously in the label’s back-catalogue, a notable step into a world of sublime, dirge-like weight.

Like much of the Argentinian maestro’s work, this track unfurls slowly, expanding to fill a space – and indeed create a space – in a way that speaks to the artist’s mastery. Few producers display such a keen understanding of and relationship with the tropes and dynamics that sit at the heart of techno, and that understanding is on display here. Keep a keen eye out for this one.

The track is a part of  the new Various Artist EP featuring works from Doka, Stefan Rein and label boss AVION, check it out here for more information.
